Long Acres Stud is situated on prime land in Darfield; a huge amount of work
went into the buildings, fences and plantings which are now well established.  
This venture was the turning point for Long Acres Stud and the dream of standing its
own commercial thoroughbred stallions became achievable.

Long Acres Stud offers full agistment for mares, weanlings and yearlings. 

The stud also has its own resident farrier which enables the stud to provide the most

up to date shoeing and corrective shoeing techniques and works with local
vets in offering post treatment care of horses.

Situated 30 minutes from Christchurch Airport with lovely views of the Southern Alps
and only five minutes drive to the Waimakariari Gorge or Darfield township which has
numerous places to have a bite to eat, we invite people to come and view our stallion
and young stock and take in the local food and hospitality.
